I saw it on the news – Ex-Soldier climbs mountain high
Raising money for all those like him, now struggling to get by
Those who government sent to war, a pointless exercise
Costing precious lives and billions of pounds with reasons based on lies
The once proud soldier, feeling half the man he used to be
But support, compassion and understanding only comes from you and me

The governments turn their backs their ignorance is bliss
Once you’re surplus to requirements you aint gonna be missed
It’s these same politicians who give nothing to the needy
That are milking the system for all it’s worth, so corrupt and so greedy
The suits make sure they get plenty – on top of their 150K
Whilst the hero in his wheel chair, barely gets by from day to day

“Benefit thieves will be prosecuted”…so why not all those MP’s?
They’ve stolen public money – I’d throw away the keys!
A 3 month custodial sentence – that’s what happened to Valery
A single Mum with 3 kids – but she wasn’t topping up a humongous salary
Corruption, disruption, lets continue to expose the lot
As many of us come to realise – they all pee in the same pot!
