To celebrate our 100th edition, produced in July 2010, and our 10th anniversary, which we will be celebrating in January, we are having an ‘Experience This’ volunteer appreciation event at 3pm on Sunday 1st August at the Harehill Tavern.

We contacted businesses and organisations all over the northwest to ask them to donate an experience that will be given away to our volunteers at the event. We have been overwhelmed by the response and the fantastic number of experiences we have received.

There are experiences for everyone, volunteers young and young at heart, at the event with tickets to family days out, memberships to gyms that include Hatton’s Health & Fitness, tickets to gigs and concerts and relaxing beauty treatments.

If you are one of the more than 300 people that have volunteered with the Hattersley & Mottram Community News or HMCM over the last 10 years then you are in with a chance of receiving one of the experiences. So whether you volunteered with us last week, last year or 10 years ago join us at the Harehill Tavern on Sunday 1st August.
