Over the next 12 months we will be running two competitions to find out where is the furthest place the Community News has been read and also what's the most unusual place or situation it's been read in.
We want to see your evidence so send or bring in a photograph that we can publish in the newspaper and here on the site.

This month we received a photograph of Hattersley & Mottram Boxing Club coach Arthur O’Connor catching up with all the latest news from the estate while on holiday in Alaska.

November saw a fantastic entry come in for our competition of where’s the furthest or most unusual place you’ve seen the Community News is being. This picture from Steve Haycock, of fishing buddy Paul Cobb reading his Community News with a lion in South Africa might not make it as the furthest the newspaper is being read but sharing a read with a lion, even a youngster, has got to be unusual by anyone’s standards, but what do you think?

According to resident Rickie Allen's photograph the sculptures from Antony Gormley's, (Angel of the North artist) Another Place installation along the sea front at Crosby like to know what's going on in Hattersley too.
We've seen the Community News being read in some strange places but this is out there in the lead.

Hattersley resident Sheila Stoddard went off to California to her son David’s wedding recently but was determined not to miss out on everything going on in Hattersley while she was away. Just before going on a tour of Universal Studios she took time out to have a quick read of the Community News.
