Our thanks go to the Hyde/Godley and the Londendale/Hattersley ward Councillors John Sullivan, Jim Fitzpatrick and Sean Parkey-Perry for making a donation from their ward councillors fund to help pay for our 'Experience This' event.
As a community organisation we don't have the money available to pay for activities like this so it's only through their kind support we were able to hold the event.
Our event was for the whole family so lots of mums, dads, grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed the day

Our ‘Experience This’ event at the Harehill Tavern on 1st August was a great success. The event was our way of thanking all our volunteers who have worked with us in the past 10 years and of celebrating our 100th edition, which was produced in July. It was fantastic to see so many volunteers there, some we haven’t seen for years and of course the volunteers who help us out regularly.
July 2010
To celebrate our 100th edition, produced in July 2010, and our 10th anniversary, which we will be celebrating in January, we are having an ‘Experience This’ volunteer appreciation event at 3pm on Sunday 1st August at the Harehill Tavern.
We contacted businesses and organisations all over the northwest to ask them to donate an experience that will be given away to our volunteers at the event. We have been overwhelmed by the response and the fantastic number of experiences we have received.
One of our volunteers and a guest will be having a great night out at the Contact Theatre in Manchster. The contact have donated tickets to a show to celebrate the 100th edition of the Community News, which was produced in July 2010 and our 10th anniversary, which we will be celebrating in January 2010.

Local resident Margaret Heaton has donated an experience at her beauty salon that one of our volunteers will receive at our 'Experience This' volunteer appreciation event on Sunday 1st August at the Harehill Tavern at 3pm.
Don't miss out on a fun afternoon where as well as the draw to receive the experiences, there'll be a buffet, face painter, bouncy castle and lots more fun.
There's a great night out for one of our volunteers and three of their friends at the Frog & Bucket, who have donated free entry, a table for four and a free bottle of wine.
So don't miss our 'Experience This' volunteer appreciation event on Sunday 1 August from 3pm.
One of our volunteers along with their family and friends can
experience a magic show that simply blows you away. Magician Robert Bardsley of Merlins Magic has kindly donated a half hour magic show to celebrate our 100th edition and 10th anniversary.
