Hattersley and Mottram Community Media

Join us for our AGM on Thursday 8 October, 12.30pm at Hattersley community centre. As well as celebrating the work of Hattersley & Mottram Community Media (HMCM) and the Community News over the last 12 months, we will also be launching the Poetry Vault exhibition. Some of the people who have been putting their work in the Vault have agred to come along and perform their poetry for us live.

Our online Poetry Vault opened last year to celebrate National Poetry Day 2008, which makes the Vault one year old this year. To celebrate National Poetry Day this year, which fallson 8 October, we will be having an exhibition of some of the poetry from the Vault in the community centre.

Tell us your favourite

The exhibition will include all the poems published in the Community News so far this year but we also want you to be involved in deciding what’s included too.

To cast your votes click on the Poetry Vault link on the right hand side of the page. Once inside the vault put a comment on all the poems you would like to see in the exhibition.

Alternatively, give us a call on 0161 368 5171 and tell us your favourites or why not call in to our office in the community centre and tell us in person? Those poems with the most supporters by 5 October will also be included in the exhibition.

We will be organising a free lunch before the AGM starting at 12 noon in the dining room in community centre.
